This DVD covers the basic Hat-Ha Yoga session. Dmitriy follows classic a approach to Hat-Ha Yoga practice, but at the same time he has a unique style of teaching this art. While practicing Hat-Ha Yoga it is not enough to learn the right positions and stretching. This is why in Dmitriy’s instructions he focuses the student’s attention on correct way to enter yoga positions in order to avoid injuries and dramatically increase effectiveness of your practice. At the same time Dmitriy gives vital instructions on proper breathing while practicing the positions, as well as basic breathing exercises. Dmitriy believes that Yoga is not a set of physical exercises but rather an integrated system of movement, breathing, meditation and energy exercises. In teaching this ancient art, Dmitriy’s signature is attention to every little detail. This DVD is 50 minutes long, but it covers a 20 minute session, which is easy for everyday practice. Since the material on this DVD is very concentrated you will find much new detail for yourself even after watching it many times.

Here is a little history of the creation of this DVD: Dmitriy’s students requested a practice tutorial sinsce Dmitriy’s style of teaching is unique and they were not able to find a proper practice guide to study outside the class. In 2001 Dmitriy recorded a live instructional guide which he released as a limited 50 copies edition on video tape for his students. Most of those copies were sold within 2 month. The demand for this video tape continued but the original SVHS tape didn’t allow to produce more copies. After many requests Dmitriy digitally re-mastered the instructional guide and released it on DVD in 2003.
